Job summary

Valto, Inc. seeks an IT Application Developer in Channahon, IL to support, configure, and improve core business systems, notably the ERP (IBM iSeries/Infor EA) and related applications.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and finance to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions using ASP.NET/C#, SharePoint, SQL Server, and AI-driven automation. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years in ERP-related roles, strong analysis and PM skills, and knowledge of .NET and SQL Server.

Qualifications

Valto is searching is searching for an IT Application Developer to be based out of Channahon, IL. Reporting to the IT Director, this person will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and improving the company’s core business systems, most notably the ERP system (IBM iSeries/Infor EA) and the applications that extend them. Working closely with stakeholders across manufacturing, sales, and finance, this role gathers requirements, analyzes business processes, and delivers solutions using modern development tools (ASP.NET/C#, SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server) and AI development and automation, including AI coding, intelligent process automation, and data-driven reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a business systems analyst, ERP support, or application developer role (e.g., Infor, IBM iSeries-based ERP), including ERP configuration, support, or implementation experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

How you’ll make an impact in this role:

• Partner with stakeholders across manufacturing, sales, and finance to gather and document business requirements, analyze current- and future-state business processes, and translate business needs into functional specifications for system solutions.
• Support and administer the ERP system (IBM iSeries/Infor EA), including configuration, master data maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user support; coordinate ERP upgrades, patches, and regression testing.
• Provide project management and team leadership for business systems and application development projects, following IT project methodology and delivery timelines.
• Develop, design, and support internal and external applications (e.g., SharePoint, EDI, Power Automate workflows, etc..)
• Serve as support for Manufacturing Control Systems (Wonderware and Recipe Management System).
• Identify and implement opportunities to apply AI and automation to accelerate development, testing, and documentation across all the business departments.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• B.S. degree in IT Management, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field, with coursework or experience in business systems analysis and application development.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a business systems analyst, ERP support, or application developer role (e.g., Infor, IBM iSeries-based ERP), including ERP configuration, support, or implementation experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong business analysis and project management skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and the ability to manage multiple projects across business and technical teams
• Working knowledge of application development tools and methods (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Power Automate, .net, Fabric, etc…)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint administration and ability to support network applications in a Windows Server environment.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and responsible AI practices, including data privacy, security, and human review of AI-generated content.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This is a hybrid role, combining remote/office-based work with periodic travel to manufacturing locations. Primarily an office environment; occasional time on the production floor may be required when visiting sites.
