Job summary

Elektron, a growing Bitcoin mining company, is seeking an experienced IT Identity and Access Specialist to secure and govern our Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environment. You will manage lifecycle access, automation, and SSO across the SaaS stack, while documenting runbooks and ensuring audit readiness.

The role emphasizes hands-on administration, scripting, and automation, with fully remote work and a strong focus on security and scalable processes as the company grows.

Elektron is a large, privately held Bitcoin mining company. We manage a growing portfolio of mining sites across the United States and select international markets. We're built by Bitcoiners and operate by the principles that come with that: transparency, proof of work, and a high standard of execution. We're scaling quickly and this is an opportunity to be part of that growth from an early stage.

About the role

Elektron runs on Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, with a Zero Trust, automation-first approach to identity and devices. This role keeps that environment secure, well governed, and audit-ready as the company grows. General helpdesk sits with an outsourced partner, so the focus here is identity, access, endpoints, and automation. The team is small, remote, and collaborative, with issues raised early and brought forward with a proposed answer.

What you'll work on

• Manage the joiner, mover, and leaver lifecycle in Entra ID, from day-one access to same-day removal
• Build SCIM provisioning and PowerShell and Graph automation across Slack and the SaaS stack
• Manage Conditional Access, MFA, Entra PIM, and quarterly access reviews
• Keep corporate endpoints enrolled, patched, and protected through JumpCloud and CrowdStrike
• Support SSO, SharePoint governance, M365 backup, and license reviews
• Handle internal IT requests and serve as technical escalation for the outsourced helpdesk
• Maintain version-controlled scripts, runbooks, and tenant documentation

What you'll bring

• Hands-on Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration, including Conditional Access and SSO
• PowerShell and Microsoft Graph scripting used to automate real work, not only one-off fixes
• Experience with SCIM provisioning and identity lifecycle automation
• MDM and EDR experience with JumpCloud, Intune, CrowdStrike, or comparable tools
• Clear documentation habits and scripts kept in version control
• A high personal standard for the work, and interest in how the environment improves as the business grows
• Preferred: Entra PIM, M365 backup tooling, or Microsoft identity or security certifications. Interest in Bitcoin is a plus, not a requirement

What success looks like

• New hires have what they need on day one, and access is fully removed on exit
• Routine provisioning runs automatically, with manual effort limited to exceptions
• The environment is documented well enough that controls can be shown on demand

Compensation and benefits

Base salary range: $90,000 to $130,000, plus a discretionary annual bonus. Placement within the range reflects depth of experience across Entra ID, identity automation, and endpoint security.
