Job summary

Server Products is a food and beverage tech company seeking a hands-on IT Administrator to maintain secure, reliable IT infrastructure across office and manufacturing environments. The role covers Microsoft cloud services, identity management, endpoints, networking, and backups, with Tier 1/2 support and cloud migration duties.

The candidate should have 3+ years in systems or network administration, strong Windows/M365 skills, and experience in hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in information technology or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible IT/sys admin or Tier 2 support experience.
• Manufacturing or complex operating environment experience preferred.
• Certifications in Security+/Microsoft IAM/Entra ID/Intune encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, IAM, networking, and backups.
• Familiarity with Nutanix virtualization and cloud migrations.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work in a hybrid office and manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor network hardware, Windows servers, endpoints, and related services.
• Maintain switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS, DHCP, VLANs; troubleshoot issues.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Active Directory users and licenses.
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 on-site and remote support; escalate as needed.
• Configure and support devices, printers, and production-floor tech; track assets.
• Monitor backups; test restores; support disaster recovery planning.
• Support security controls, patching, and incident response per policy.
• Assist secure cloud migrations and document changes; support vendors.
• Plan infrastructure projects; coordinate vendors, timelines, and testing.
• Maintain tickets, docs, inventories, and diagrams; conduct user training.

the opportunity

The IT Administrator is a hands-on technology professional responsible for the secure, reliable operation and day-to-day support of the company's IT infrastructure, end-user technology, and core systems. This position supports employees in an office and manufacturing environment, serves as a Tier 1 and 2 escalation resource, and helps modernize a hybrid environment as services move to cloud-based platforms. The role requires strong customer service, sound judgment, and practical experience with Microsoft cloud services, identity and access management, endpoints, networking, virtualization, backups, cybersecurity, and vendor-supported business applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain network hardware, Nutanix infrastructure, Windows servers, endpoints, software, telecommunications, and related technology services.
• Maintain switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPN connectivity, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and other network services; troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and availability issues.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, permissions, multifactor authentication, access reviews, onboarding, offboarding, and license assignments.
• Provide responsive in-person and remote Tier 1 and Tier 2 support; assess urgency, communicate status, resolve issues, and escalated when additional expertise or authority is required.
• Configure, deploy, patch, and support computers, mobile devices, printers, production-floor technology, and approved software while maintaining accurate asset and lifecycle records.
• Monitor backup jobs, investigate failures, perform periodic restore testing, and support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and exercises.
• Support cybersecurity controls, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, system patching, access controls, monitoring, and incident response in accordance with company requirements.
• Assist with secure migrations from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-based platforms and services, including planning, testing, implementation, documentation, and user support.
• Support vendor-managed business applications and integrations, including Salesforce, ERP, Boomi, Azure, and AWS; coordinate issue resolution with internal owners and external providers.
• Plan and complete assigned infrastructure and end-user technology projects; coordinate vendors, timelines, testing, communications, and follow-up activities.
• Maintain complete and current service tickets, system documentation, procedures, inventories, configurations, and network diagrams; provide user training as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in information technology, computer information systems, management information systems, computer science, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration, network administration, or Tier 2 technical support.
• Experience supporting technology in a manufacturing or similarly complex operating environment preferred.
• CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Endpoint Administration, IAM, Nutanix, or other certifications preferred
• Working knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs, switching, and firewalls.
• Proficiency in supporting Windows 11 operating systems and business endpoints.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or later and related server administration practices.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Experience administering Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, user accounts, groups, permissions, and access.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, cloud migrations, and hybrid technology environments.
• Knowledge of Nutanix or comparable virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of on-premises and cloud-based backup, restoration, and disaster recovery practices.
