Job summary

Metropolitan Community College invites applications for an instructor in the Information Technology Academic Focus Area. The instructor will teach basic IT courses and a broad range of programming topics (Python, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, React) to adult learners and concurrently enrolled high school students.

The position supports on-campus, hybrid, online or remote delivery and includes teaching Computer Programming, Game Development, Web/Mobile App Development, plus INFO 1000 and Tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in discipline or related discipline with 2 years full-time related occupational experience.
• OR an Associate's degree with current industry certification and 2 years full-time related occupational experience.
• For INFO 1000: Bachelor's degree and 2 years full-time related occupational experience.
• For Tech Design: MS in Instructional Tech Design or BS in Information Technology with 2 years FT industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach IT courses in on-campus, hybrid, online or remote delivery modes.
• Teach a full range of courses in Computer Programming, Game Development, and Web/Mobile App Development.
• May involve travel to various MCC campuses.
• Teaching demonstrations are part of the interview process.
