This position assists in developing and maintaining web applications for Young Life’s Developing Global Leaders (DGL) Scholarship program.

This is an excellent opportunity for DGL graduates to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting and be an integral part of the DGL team by working with DGL Administrators around the globe.
Job Description

Key Responsibilities under direction of Senior Ruby on Rails Developer:

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of web applications
  • Collaborate with senior developers on project tasks
  • Help in debugging and resolving issues within the codebase
  • Identify and fix bottlenecks and efficiency lapses
  • Participate in team meetings to understand project goals and timelines

Requirements:

  • Prefer a DGL graduate or current student
  • Prefer degree in Computer Sciences, Informational Systems or Technology, Coding or a related field
  • Knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework
  • Write maintainable, and efficient Ruby code
  • Understanding of SQL databases
  • Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
  • Familiar with testing tools and environments
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
