This position assists in developing and maintaining web applications for Young Life's Developing Global Leaders (DGL) Scholarship program.

This is an excellent opportunity for DGL graduates to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting and work with DGL Administrators around the globe.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities under the direction of Senior Ruby on Rails Developer:

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of web applications
  • Collaborate with senior developers on project tasks
  • Help in debugging and resolving issues within the codebase
  • Identify and fix bottlenecks and efficiency lapses
  • Participate in team meetings to understand project goals and timelines
Requirements
  • Prefer a DGL graduate or current student
  • Prefer a degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or Technology, Coding, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework
  • Ability to write maintainable and efficient Ruby code
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Understanding of SQL databases
  • Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with testing tools and environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively
