Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks an Information System Security Officer to ensure systems achieve or maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) by following RMF processes, updating SSPs/SCTMs/STPs/POAMs, and loading artifacts such as STIGs and ACAS scans. You will collaborate with application leads, admins, developers, and testers to maintain secure, compliant systems on-site in Reston, VA.

The role requires a Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph and a proven track record in risk assessments, vulnerability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS preferred with 9+ years of security experience.
• Proven RMF experience with maintaining ATO and compliance.
• Experience implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform risk assessments and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Strong monitoring for security incidents and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leads, admins, developers, and testers to ensure security compliance.
• Follow RMF for full/partial tests, CONMON, and no tests.
• Update SSPs, SCTMs, STPs, and POAMs with current findings.
• Load artifacts like STIG checklists and ACAS scans and mitigate findings.
• Support security assessments and respond to PAT, ISSM, and SCA inquiries.
• Communicate security posture and remediation plans to stakeholders.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of security controls and processes.
