Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to design, implement, and validate security controls within DoD RMF environments. The role requires hands-on experience with NIST SP 800-53 controls, STIG implementation, vulnerability analysis, and producing audit-ready documentation.

The ideal candidate will write STPs, SCTMs, interpret ACAS/Nessus findings, and use Splunk to verify control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility or TS/SCI with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Write STPs for NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• Create SCTMs and control implementation statements.
• Remediate STIG/SCAP findings across systems.
• Analyze ACAS/Nessus results and coordinate remediation.
• Perform Splunk log analysis to validate controls.
• Prepare ATO documentation (SSP, SAR, POA&M, etc.).
• Support RMF steps 1-6 and continuous monitoring.
