Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an ISSO in Washington, DC to lead RMF ATO activities and drive security posture across systems. You will coordinate with software and system architects to ensure controls are met and collaborate across teams to develop assessment artifacts and risk management plans.

The role requires a TS/SCI CI Poly clearance on day one, Security+ certification, and a strong background in RMF, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, and DoD/IC authorization processes. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading one or more systems through RMF ATO.
• Must be a self-starter comfortable with leading and executing high-priority tasks.
• Requires strong technical writing, communication, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess strong knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, DoD & IC authorization processes.
• Must possess Security+ certification.
• Must have experience with risk management, security control implementation, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, and POA&M management.
• Must possess a TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance on day 1.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and maintain system accreditation and authorization activities to achieve and sustain an ATO per RMF.
• Serve as the primary security lead for system posture, coordinating with architects to meet security controls.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams to develop security documentation and perform assessments.
• Oversee risk management and continuous monitoring to ensure compliance of controls.
