Job summary

Leidos in Laurel, MD is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join the Cyber & Analytics Business Area. You will help protect mission-critical information systems through information assurance, system accreditation, configuration management, and ongoing security operations.

This on-site role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, 10 years ISSO experience, and a strong background in RMF, C&A, and security documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years ISSO experience.
• Ten years of ISSO experience on similar programs.
• Experience in two of: current security tools, hardware/software security, communications protocols, encryption techniques.
• DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification or higher.
• Experience with information-system security policies, standards, and documentation.
• Experience supporting RMF, certification and accreditation activities.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Ability to work full-time on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support senior ISSOs in implementing security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Plan and coordinate IT security programs and system security policies.
• Maintain operational IA posture with ISSM; support accreditation activities.
• Evaluate security solutions for handling classified information.
• Develop and update SSPs, risk assessments, C&A packages, SRTMs, and other IA docs.
• Manage CM for security-relevant information systems; oversee configuration changes.
• Support day-to-day security operations and user authentication mechanisms.
• Assist with transitioning to ServiceNow; act as approval authority as needed.
