Job summary

DLS Engineering seeks an Information Assurance II Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the AFINC program at Gunter Annex, Montgomery, AL. This on-site role supports DoD network defense, policy enforcement, and risk management under RMF with required clearances and certifications.

The ISSO will oversee access controls, training, and security configuration, coordinating with government teams and implementing corrective measures for vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in RMF-related tools and risk management.
• Experience as an ISSO or ISSM on classified programs is required.
• Ability to assess and document test/analysis data for cybersecurity compliance.
• Prior system admin or network operator experience on contract devices.
• Must be a US citizen and hold TS/SCI or active Secret clearance.
• IAM-I Certification: CASP+, CCISO, CCSP, CGRC/CAP, Cloud+, GSEC, Security+ (CE), SSCP.

Responsibilities

• Implements and enforces cybersecurity policies, procedures, and countermeasures.
• Ensures access control and annual cybersecurity training; maintains access docs.
• Ensures configuration management aligns with security guidelines.
• Coordinates changes with government and implements protective measures for incidents.
• Reports incidents and initiates deviations or waivers as required.
• Participates in risk management processes and logs reviews.
• Performs annual removable media audits with two-person control.
• Maintains log/audit review documentation weekly or more often when needed.
