Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Quantico, VA to serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner and lead accreditation efforts for DoD/IC programs. The role requires strong RMF discipline, documentation, and risk-based decision making.

You will perform STIG/SCAP, maintain security artifacts, coordinate with IPTs, and ensure continuous monitoring. A TS clearance with SAP eligibility and a Bachelor's degree are required, with 8–10 years

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SAP eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8–10 years of DoD/IC security experience with IT systems.
• Current DoD IAT Level III certification or equivalent.
• Experience with assessment tools such as ACAS, SCAP, STIG Viewer.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal advisor to the Information System Owner.
• Review and develop IS accreditation/certification documentation.
• Maintain RMF standards and Configuration Management.
• Perform STIGS/SCAP and enforcement of remediation actions.
