Job summary

AnaVation, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer / ISSM to lead the organization's information security program and ensure compliance with NIST, DFARS, and other frameworks. You will manage secure operations for corporate, cloud, and classified environments and coordinate with IT, Contracts, HR, and leadership.

The role combines hands-on security management with governance, risk, and incident response, requiring collaboration across multiple stakeholders and a strong security mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, Cybersecurity, CS, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive cybersecurity or information assurance experience.
• Experience serving as an ISSM, ISSO, IA Manager, or similar role.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, 800-53, RMF, DFARS 252.204-7012, CMMC, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience developing SSPs, POA&Ms, security policies, standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate Information Security Program as primary ISSM and security lead for corporate, customer, classified, air-gapped, and standalone systems.
• Oversee cybersecurity compliance activities with regulations, contracts, and frameworks (NIST, CMMC, RMF, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Design, implement, document, and manage secure operations and lifecycle of corporate and classified environments.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, policies, standards, diagrams, inventories, and documentation.
• Lead security assessments, audits, risk reviews, and remediation of findings.
