Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the C3I&N Directorate at Hanscom AFB, MA, onsite. The role focuses on A&A coordination, IA architecture, and ensuring security protections across system development and assessment.

The candidate will lead A&A documentation, support IA design and PMO activities, and participate in audits and POA&M actions to ensure compliance with RMF and DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of cybersecurity and information assurance experience, incl. 5 years in a DoD environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• CISSP or CISM certification is required.
• Experience with security systems engineering across hardware, software, OS and apps.
• Knowledge of security features and vulnerabilities across operating systems.
• Experience with IA vulnerability testing.
• Experience with US Government contract proposals as an IA/security SME, incl. DoD/Federal A&A.
• Knowledge of IA controls and RMF-based A&A documentation.
• Experience with SAP/SAR.
• Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation.
• Support design, development, implementation, and integration of Systems IA architecture.
• Act as a PMO expert for IA security protections and requirements.
• Assist with development of POA&M, including timely assessment of corrective actions.
• Conduct technical and nontechnical reviews and observe audits to support development and test efforts.
