Qualifications

Job description

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.


Required:
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position is open to multiple levels of years of experience; two (02) years within the last five (05) years must be directly related to Information Systems Security Engineering / Operations:
  • Level 04 requires a minimum fifteen (15) years of experience
  • Level 03 requires a minimum twelve (12) years of experience
  • Level 02 requires a minimum nine (09) years of experience
  • Level 01 requires a minimum six (06) years of experience
  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher.
  • Experience as an ISSO/ISSE with emphasis on Defense-in-Depth principles, network, and enterprise security architecture
  • Experience applying the principles of the NIST 800-53 including the procedures in the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Familiarity with STE/STN requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with several of the following: current security tools; hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools.
  • Experience completing security evaluations of software systems or architectures to ensure they meet security requirements.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining SSPs and other security related documentation.
  • Experience proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies, preferably on a large software or IT program.
  • Demonstrated experience performing day-to-day security operations of large, complicated information and information processing systems.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2 or 3
  • Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) Certification
  • Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification
  • Ability to ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system
  • Support continuous monitoring of networks to detect and correct areas of security non-compliance, unmitigated vulnerabilities, and other risks
  • Perform regular audits of information systems
  • Assist the information systems security manager in preparing the information system for periodic reaccreditation

$85,000 - $270,000 a year
The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
