Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh seeks an Israel and Overseas Engagement Associate to drive Partnership2Gether, Israel scholarships, and community programming. You will coordinate committees, manage relationships with Pittsburgh, Israel, and Warsaw partners, and help lead leadership development and funding priorities.

Responsibilities include planning itineraries, representing the federation at events, and growing Israel engagement across local institutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as education or Jewish nonprofit management.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in Israel engagement, Jewish communal service, nonprofit programming, or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of and commitment to the Jewish community.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel overseas at least once every two years.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan strategic direction for Partnership2Gether (P2G), connecting Pittsburgh, Karmiel/Misgav, and Warsaw.
• Represent P2G and the Federation at community events and programs.
• Coordinate programming, manage committee processes and budgets, and track progress.
• Recruit volunteers and cultivate leadership pipeline for P2G.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Jewish organizations and stakeholders.
• Create itineraries for visiting delegations and lead planning for Israel engagement programming.
• Oversee Israel Scholarship programs and liaison with Diller Teen Fellows.
• Promote scholarship opportunities and collaborate with local Hillel.
