Job summary

The State Group in Bowling Green, Ohio seeks a Quality Control Manager for a 15-18 month project to lead ISO 9001 aligned quality management and process improvement efforts on site.

Responsibilities include maintaining the QMS, coordinating audits, training staff, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards while supporting scheduling and forecasting for project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; quality certification preferred.
• 5+ years in construction quality management and ISO 9001.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and QMS usage.
• Auditing experience, internal and external.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety requirements and promote a positive safety culture.
• Maintain and oversee the QMS, ensuring ISO 9001 alignment.
• Collaborate to develop and execute the QMS strategy.
• Manage ISO 9001 certification processes with auditors/regulators.
• Develop, implement, and improve quality procedures and documentation.
• Track, analyze, and report project progress to customers.
• Ensure all quality documents are current and controlled.
• Lead internal and external audit activities and follow-up on nonconformities.
• Analyze audit results and update quality systems as needed.
• Train employees on QMS standards and practices.
• Manage audit findings database and communicate improvements to leadership.
