Job summary

Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) seeks a faculty member to join the preclinical veterinary curriculum, focusing on small animal surgery instruction across courses and a strong emphasis on hands-on laboratory experiences.

The candidate will mentor faculty in the Ross University Veterinary Clinic, conduct surgical teaching, and build an active research program. Willingness to reside on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts is required.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree with board certification in Small Animal Surgery (ACVS or ECVS).
• PhD is highly preferred.
• Experience with innovative, student-centered teaching methods encouraged.
• Teaching experience at an AVMA-accredited institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to team-taught courses in small animal surgery and related didactic sessions.
• Provide clinical consultation and mentorship within the Ross University Veterinary Clinic.
• Develop an active, independent or collaborative research program and pursue external funding.

Education
