Job summary

Holtec International is seeking an ISFSI Security Officer to provide physical protection of the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation in Charlevoix, MI. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission security requirements while maintaining a safety-focused environment.

This role involves operating security systems, performing searches, and executing armed response duties as necessary. Candidates must have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and the ability to meet specific physical and psychological requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to meet all physical requirements of 10 CFR Part 73.
• Ability to maintain required state licenses and security qualifications.
• Must satisfy NRC psychological testing requirements.
• Ability to handle conflict and high-stress situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical protection of the ISFSI.
• Operate security computer systems to assess alarms.
• Perform personnel and vehicle searches.
• Execute armed response duties as required.
• Control access to protected areas and maintain logs.
• Conduct routine checks of security equipment.
• Participate in training programs and emergency drills.
