Job summary

The Huntington National Bank is seeking an IS Technical Specialist to design and implement customer-facing digital applications for commercial clients. You will build complex tech solutions aligned with the enterprise roadmap using React, Angular, and Java, and translate UI/UX wireframes into production-ready code.

Responsibilities include developing web UI, APIs, and pipelines (GCP Pub/Sub, Kafka, Azure/Jenkins), diagnosing advanced production issues, and maintaining development standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IS, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of application development experience.
• Experience with Angular, React, Java/JavaScript, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST/SOAP services, and GCP.

• Diagnose complex production/technical problems involving performance, availability, integrations, databases, middleware, and networks.
• Maintain design documentation, development standards/guidelines, onboarding procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Designing APIs to decouple UI integration with Bigtable using Kafka queues and GCP Pub/Sub, and establishing Azure and Jenkins pipelines for frontend and API code.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of application development experience
• Experience with: Angular React Java / JavaScript Spring Boot Microservices SOAP and/or REST services GCP

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in multi-platform environment
• Ability to balance both development and support roles
• Experience in working on projects that involve business segments
• Strong analytical, strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups
