Summary
Job Summary
The IS Systems Administrators Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of our information systems infrastructure. Working closely with ServiceDesk, Information Security, and Systems Engineering teams, this individual will lead a team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing server and client systems and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for efficiency and reliability in our IS environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
- Communicate status and needs effectively to colleagues and leadership.
- Oversee configuration and maintenance of hardware, software, and network services (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
- Supervise administration of client-facing systems such as physical and virtual desktops, Office 365, Exchange, Teams, and Azure services.
- Implement and enforce security policies to protect IT assets and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with security team to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Lead resolution of escalated issues, conduct incident response, and maintain on-call rotation.
- Create knowledge base documentation and procedures.
- Participate in problem management to reduce helpdesk call volume.
- Monitor system and application availability, optimize performance.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Participate in IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on project requirements and milestones.
- Participate in disaster recovery and cybersecurity exercises.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurements and support.
- Provide training and professional development for team members.
- Identify process improvements, automation, and innovation opportunities.

Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in supporting Microsoft server systems, applications, endpoints, and Office 365 in a medium to large enterprise.
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role, or completion of CareOregon’s Aspiring Leaders Program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing server systems in Azure Cloud.
- Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, supporting 1000+ end users in a hybrid environment, and systems maintenance.
- Additional related technology support experience.

- Proficiency with Microsoft desktop/server OS and technologies like Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, Conditional Access.

- Understanding of network protocols and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of IT security principles, practices, and tools.
- Basic project management knowledge.
