Job summary

H-E-B in Irving, TX is hiring a Total Store Sanitation Representative to maintain cleanliness and safety across the store, both inside and outside, while welcoming customers.

You will perform sanitation tasks, manage restroom and break areas, assist customers, and step in as Customer Service Assistant when needed. Adhere to OSHA guidelines and food safety SOPs.

This role requires HS diploma or GED, 18+, and basic safety certifications; strong initiative and ability to prioritize tasks are valued.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of Company Orientation, In-store orientation, Basics of Safety, Annual Food Handler, basic HAZMAT / Chemical Safety certifications - upon hire.
• Knowledge of OSHA Guidelines and ability to follow SOPs.
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and provide strong customer service.
• Willingness to work around customers and assist in locating products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Store cleanliness and safety including floors, windows, restrooms, and break rooms.
• Ensure hand wash sinks are stocked with paper towels, soap, and sanitizer.
• Trash and debris removal from store exterior and garden areas.
• Follow H-E-B chemical program and maintain organization in maintenance room.
• Communicate maintenance needs and solutions to Store Leaders.
• Assist customers in locating products and perform Customer Service Assistant duties when needed.

Responsibilities Job Summary:

As a Total Store Sanitation Representative, you'll maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire Store, inside and out, all while making our customers feel welcome.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Sanitation / Maintenance:

• Maintains the Store's cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization, including floors, windows, break rooms, and restrooms
• Maintains fulfillment of department hand wash sinks, such as paper towels, soap, sanitizer
• Cleans and picks up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the Store
• Uses H-E-B chemical program and correctly organized / maintenance room
• Empties and cleans trash receptacles throughout the store and each department
• Ensures food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs
• Communicates maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders

Customer Service:

• Works with / around customers; attends to their needs
• Assists customers in the location of product
• Performs all duties of Customer Service Assistant (CSA) when needed
