Job Summary

An Irrigation Technician will install, maintain, or repair sprinkler systems at DCPS landscaped properties. They will communicate with the property manager on the needs/follow-up of their specific site. They will perform basic installations for their property and perform irrigation repairs and revisions of the systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure that the irrigation systems perform at maximum efficiency and conserve water
• Assist with emergency calls from the property managers concerning floods, valve repairs, etc.
• Execute all necessary irrigation repairs.
• Participate in small enhancement projects that require irrigation expertise
• Maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness and organization
• Perform DCPS pre/post trip vehicle inspections daily to maintain the safety and longevity of trucks
• Coordinate property needs/ follow up with DCPS management
• Evaluate winterization of each system.
• Maintain quality control of work enacted on sites
• Provide weekly property reports

• Proficient in all aspects of landscaping to include plant/tree id and care.
• Basic irrigation knowledge.
• Ability to get to work at a predetermined time
• Ability to use phone applications to monitor personal hours
• Ability to stay standing/walking throughout the day and lift up to 75lbs
• Ability to drive/operate DCPS vehicles safely and precisely
• Ability to maintain a relationship with a property manager with respect and open communication
• Ability to operate small handheld landscape machinery with precision
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Well organized with an ability to prioritize tasks
• Must have an eye for detail work

Resumen del trabajo

Un técnico de riego instalará, mantendrá o reparará sistemas de rociadores en propiedades ajardinadas por DCPS. Se comunicará con el administrador de la propiedad sobre las necesidades/seguimiento de su sitio específico. Realizará instalaciones básicas para su propiedad y realizará reparaciones y revisiones de riego de los sistemas.

Responsabilidades del trabajo

• Asegurarse de que los sistemas de riego funcionen con la máxima eficiencia y conserven agua
• Asistir con llamadas de emergencia de los administradores de las propiedades relacionadas con inundaciones, reparaciones de válvulas, etc.
• Ejecutar todas las reparaciones de riego necesarias.
• Participar en pequeños proyectos de mejora que requieran experiencia en riego
• Mantener la limpieza y organización de los vehículos y equipos
• Realizar inspecciones de vehículos de DCPS (antes y después del viaje) a diario para mantener la seguridad y la longevidad de los vehículos
• Coordinar las necesidades de la propiedad/hacer un seguimiento con la gerencia de DCPS
• Evaluar la preparación para el invierno de cada sistema.
• Mantener el control de calidad del trabajo realizado en los sitios
• Brindar informes semanales de la propiedad
  
  

Habilidades y calificaciones laborales

• Competente en todos los aspectos de jardinería, incluida la identificación y el cuidado de plantas y árboles.
• Conocimientos básicos de riego.
• Capacidad para llegar al trabajo a una hora predeterminada
• Capacidad para usar aplicaciones de teléfono para controlar las horas personales
• Capacidad para permanecer de pie/caminar durante todo el día y levantar hasta 75 libras
• Capacidad para conducir/operar vehículos de DCPS de manera segura y precisa
