Job description

Our West Michigan Branches are looking for an Irrigation Technician to work out of our Portage Branch, servicing the Portage & Battle Creek areas.

Requirements:

1. Chauffeur's license (required for driving a company vehicle)
2. At least 1 year of Landscaping Irrigation Leadership work experience
3. Irrigation Technician experience at a verifiable company
4. Resume must clearly show Landscaping Irrigation Leader and Irrigation Technician experience
5. Application without a resume or with insufficient experience will be rejected

Pay Range:

Starting from $17 to $21 per hour, depending on experience and certifications/licenses.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and test new installations, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems
• Observe pipe and valve placements, evaluate start-ups, winterization, and overall system operation
• Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual in Spanish
• Ability to create and read site maps with colored charts/legends
