Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking two full-time Irrigation Technicians to support Denver Parks and Recreation in the Northwest and Southwest districts. Typical hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday–Friday, with some weekend work required.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, read drawings, and assist with projects. A valid driver's license and 1 year irrigation experience are required. Apply by Oct 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HiSET/TASC).
• Experience: 1 year maintaining/repairing irrigation systems.
• Licensure: Valid Driver's License at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems for park properties.
• Read irrigation drawings and perform maintenance/repair/replacement of components.
• Estimate materials, labor, time, and cost for repairs.
• Complete utility locates for contractors.
• Maintain irrigation and sprinkler systems for seasonal use.
• Assist in special projects or events; participate in snow removal and other park duties.
