Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking skilled trades professionals to install, repair, and maintain district irrigation systems. You will handle work orders, source parts, and coordinate with site staff while prioritizing safety for students and staff.

The role includes on-call snow removal and emergency response, with opportunities for growth to higher trade levels and certification compliance. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2–10 years of related experience, and a valid

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Two to ten years related experience and training across irrigation trades.
Valid Colorado driver's license and insurability.
Master/Multi-Skilled level requires ASSE backflow certification.

Responsibilities

Receives work orders, reviews and plans irrigation issues.
Determines supplies from warehouse or vendors; researches parts.
Communicates with site staff; ensures safety of personnel and students.
Prepares and cleans job site; sets up scaffolding if needed.
Installs and repairs irrigation systems including pipes, valves and clocks.
Instructs operations staff on irrigation control and head adjustments.
Assists with snow removal and responds to emergencies 24/7.
Under supervision, diagnoses malfunctioning irrigation clocks and low voltage wiring.
