Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking an Irrigation Technician Level I to monitor, test, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation installations while planning upgrades for client systems. This role requires attention to pipe and valve placement, startup and winterization duties, and observing system operation in active sites.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of relevant irrigation experience, a valid driver’s license, and be bilingual in Spanish to support diverse client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of productive experience in installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are essential.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Ability to create and read site map-colored charts/legends

Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities

• Monitor and testing new installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements, and evaluate start-ups, winterization, and overall operation of the irrigation system.
• Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of productive experience in the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems.
• A valid driver’s license
• Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential.
• Bilingual in Spanish

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day

Work Environment

• Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
• Work near or about natural bodies of water
• Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time

Compensation Pay Range

$22 - $25/ HR
