Job summary

North Texas Tollway Authority seeks a Maintenance Tech – Irrigation to monitor and operate our computerized irrigation system across roadways. You will install, repair, and schedule irrigation with emphasis on plant sustainability and water conservation.

The role requires readiness for variable shifts including evenings, weekends, and emergencies. CDL-B eligibility and irrigation licensing within 12 months are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year training beyond high school.
• 1–3 years irrigation or landscape experience.
• Ability to obtain Class B CDL within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain Tanker endorsement within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain an irrigation technician license within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors assets and ensures maintenance and repairs using industry practices.
• Inspects, replaces, and repairs irrigation systems and components; assists with erosion repair and scheduling.
