Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co in Charleston, SC, is hiring an Irrigation Technician for our North Charleston Maintenance team. The role focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial irrigation systems with a pay range of $26+ per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications include irrigation maintenance experience, basic plan knowledge, and preferred irrigation certifications. Candidates should have a valid driver's license and be able to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of irrigation maintenance or installation experience in commercial/residential settings, or related mechanical field experience
• Basic knowledge of construction plans/diagrams
• Irrigation certification(s) preferred
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting irrigation systems preferred
• Knowledge of irrigation controllers, timers and sensors preferred
• Strong communication with clients and team
• Valid driving license with clean record for last 3–5 years
• DOT physical ability to obtain medical card
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand, squat, reach, and lift 50 lbs as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform routine irrigation inspections for designated properties.
• Identify and resolve irrigation issues through troubleshooting and diagnosis.
• Replace or repair components such as pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, or timers.
• Provide recommendations for upgrades tailored to clients’ needs.
• Manage irrigation inventory and keep tools and materials stocked.
• Maintain safety protocols and a professional image of the company vehicle.
• Record daily reports including property reports and timecards.
