Job summary

BrightView Landscapes Ltd. is seeking an Irrigation Technician in Columbus, OH to inspect and maintain client irrigation systems, perform inspections, upgrades, and start-ups, and ensure system reliability.

Requires at least 1 year of irrigation experience, valid driver's license, and ability to pass a DOT medical certification; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. We offer a competitive hourly rate and benefits with a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of verified landscape irrigation technician experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• DOT Medical card preferred; if not, ability to pass medical exam with drug test.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and test new installations, troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems.
• Conduct inspections and plan/execute client system upgrades.
• Support start-ups, winterization, and ongoing system operation.

This is NOT an entry level position; At least 1 year of verified work experience as a Landscape Irrigation Technician is required. Candidates must provide a previous employer's contact information for verification!

THE PAY RANGE FOR THIS ROLE IS $20 - $35 PER HOUR. PAY DECISIONS ARE DECIDED WHEN AN OFFER HAS BEEN MADE AND ARE BASED DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES YOU HOLD.

Minimum Requirements Of The Role

• Valid Driver's License: Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience: minimum of 1 year Landscape Irrigation Technician is necessary.
• DOT Medical card:preferred Candidate already holds one. If you do not have a DDOT Medical Card you MUST be able to pass a Medical exam that includes a drug Test (this is a Federal requirement).

Here’s What You’d Do

An Irrigation Technician is able to foresee potential problems and have the specialty skills needed to solve them. Careful planning and the ability to anticipate issues are qualities which BrightView particularly value. People with your mindset and proactive work-style, are just what our customers expect.

You’d Be Responsible For

• Monitoring and testing new installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements, and evaluate start-ups, winterization and overall operation of the irrigation system.
• Conducting and recording detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems.

You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have

• Along with supervisory skills and your proactive manner, we require a minimum of 1 year of productive experience in the installation, inspection and repair of irrigation systems.
• A valid driver’s license
• Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential.

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

• Bilingual in Spanish
• Ability to create and read site map colored charts/legends

Compensation Pay Range
