Position Overview:

As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. You will ensure efficient water distribution to trees, shrubs, and lawns while following best practices for conservation and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip systems, and controllers.
• Diagnose and repair issues such as leaks, clogs, broken pipes, valve malfunctions, and electrical problems in irrigation systems.
• Program and adjust irrigation controllers for seasonal efficiency.
• Conduct system audits to ensure optimal water distribution and recommend improvements.
• Perform routine maintenance, including flushing systems and cleaning filters.
• Work with customers to assess their irrigation needs and provide recommendations.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship, aligning with Burke’s Tree Service’s core values.
• Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and any system modifications.
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles responsibly.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience:1-3 years in irrigation system installation, maintenance, or repair (preferred, but willing to train the right candidate).
• Knowledge of:irrigation components, plumbing, electrical wiring, and water conservation techniques.
• Ability to:troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
