Job summary

Sea Oaks Beach and Tennis is seeking an Irrigation Technician to install, repair, and maintain watering systems across our property. The role requires attention to detail, time management, and problem solving to ensure efficient irrigation performance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting water line issues, analyzing system layouts, repairing lines and valves, and programming irrigation controllers. Applicants must be able to work outdoors, lift 50 pounds, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Experience with irrigation systems preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot water line repairs, design new or redesign existing irrigation systems for proper function and efficiency.
• Assist analysis of system layout; study system deficiencies or ineffective water flow and distribution.
• Analyze water loss and pressure; implement solutions to resolve deficiencies.
• Repair or replace broken, leaky, or corroding lines and valves above and below ground.
• Repair clogged irrigation equipment including controllers and valves.
• Service, clean, and analyze efficiency of valves, heads, nozzles, and irrigation lines.
• Clean exterior of filtration system and piping at pump house.
• Program automatic controllers and clocks to schedules.
• Wire low-voltage electrical components of the system.
• Lay and connect new PVC piping.

Job description

The Irrigation Technician plays a key role is ensuring our property is in phenomenal shape. This individual will be responsible for the installation, repairs and upkeep of our watering systems including the sprinklers and drip lines.To be successful in this position, this individual should have detail orientation, time management and problem solving skills.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot existing water line repairs, designing new and redesigning existing irrigation systems to determine if the systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
• Assist in the analysis of the system layout; conducting studies of the system to determine deficiencies or ineffective water flow and distribution.
• Analyze water loss and pressure within the system, implementing solutions to resolve the identifiable deficiencies.
• Repair and/or replace broken, leaky, or corroding above and below ground-level lines and valves.
• Repair clogged irrigation equipment, including controllers and valves.
• Service, clean, and analyze the efficiency of valves, heads, nozzles and all irrigation lines.
• Clean the exterior of the filtration system and piping at the pump house on a routine basis.
• Program automatic controllers and clocks to the respective schedules.
• Wire low-voltage electrical components of the system.
• Lay and connect new PVC piping.

• Must be able to stand for longer than eight (8) hours.
• Must be able to move fifty (50) pounds on an intermittent basis.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, twist, walk, crouch and squat.
• Must be able to speak, hear, and see.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Working Conditions & Environment

• Must have open availability- weekends, holidaus, and special events as needed.
• Must be able to work outside.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
• Must have employment eligibility in the United States.
