Job summary

Responsibilities include diagnosing water line issues, analyzing system layout, adjusting pressure and flow, repairing pipes and valves, programming controllers, and wiring low-voltage components. Outdoor work and weekend availability are required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot water line repairs, redesign irrigation systems for proper function and efficiency.
• Assist in analyzing system layout and study deficiencies or water flow issues.
• Analyze water loss and pressure, implementing solutions to resolve deficiencies.
• Repair or replace broken, leaky, or corroding above- and below-ground lines and valves.
• Repair clogged irrigation equipment, including controllers and valves.
• Service, clean, and analyze the performance of valves, heads, nozzles and all irrigation lines.
• Clean exterior of filtration system and piping at the pump house regularly.
• Program automatic controllers and clocks to schedules.
• Wire low-voltage electrical components of the system.
• Lay and connect new PVC piping.

Description

The Irrigation Technician plays a key role is ensuring our property is in phenomenal shape. This individual will be responsible for the installation, repairs and upkeep of our watering systems including the sprinklers and drip lines.To be successful in this position, this individual should have detail orientation, time management and problem solving skills.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

The essential roles and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Identify and troubleshoot existing water line repairs, designing new and redesigning existing irrigation systems to determine if the systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
• Assist in the analysis of the system layout; conducting studies of the system to determine deficiencies or ineffective water flow and distribution.
• Analyze water loss and pressure within the system, implementing solutions to resolve the identifiable deficiencies.
• Repair and/or replace broken, leaky, or corroding above and below ground-level lines and valves.
• Repair clogged irrigation equipment, including controllers and valves.
• Service, clean, and analyze the efficiency of valves, heads, nozzles and all irrigation lines.
• Clean the exterior of the filtration system and piping at the pump house on a routine basis.
• Program automatic controllers and clocks to the respective schedules.
• Wire low-voltage electrical components of the system.
• Lay and connect new PVC piping.

Requirements

Physical & Mental Demands

• Must be able to stand for longer than eight (8) hours.
• Must be able to move fifty (50) pounds on an intermittent basis.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, twist, walk, crouch and squat.
• Must be able to speak, hear, and see.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Working Conditions & Environment

• Must have open availability- weekends, holidaus, and special events as needed.
• Must be able to work outside.
