The Irrigation Technician at Gabriel Group is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation and landscape lighting systems, ensuring efficient operation and water conservation on customer sites.
You will perform audits, diagnose issues, schedule preventive maintenance, manage inventory, and communicate with the Operations Manager to coordinate service delivery and uphold safety and quality standards.

The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of customers’ irrigation and landscape lighting systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This role focuses on optimizing water usage, reducing electrical waste, and maintaining the overall health and appearance of the landscape while meeting customer expectations and company standards.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates primarily on job sites.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 4 PM. Hours are subject to change, as this position interacts with office and field.
This position may require overnight travel, depending on operational needs. Extensive driving may be required. Please note: Smoking in company trucks is not permitted.
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required
2. Minimum of 3+ years of irrigation experience
3. Basic computer and mobile technology skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, or similar systems)
1. Certifications in Landscape Maintenance and/or Irrigation preferred.
2. Experience with irrigation controllers (e.g., Hunter, Rain Bird) preferred.
1. Results-driven with a strong work ethic and ability to complete tasks efficiently in the field.
2. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage daily routes and service schedules.
3. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple service requests and repairs in a fast-paced environment.
4. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, managers, and team members
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair irrigation system issues.
6. Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with crews and support overall operations.
7. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction
8. Willingness to learn, grow, and stay up to date on irrigation systems and technology.
9. Strong hands-on mechanical and technical skills related to irrigation systems, controllers, and equipment.
