Job summary

Tri Scapes in Sanford, FL is seeking a dedicated Irrigation Technician to install, service, and repair irrigation systems for our clients. You will assess site needs, work with the landscape team, and promote water-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with diverse irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, micro-irrigation, soaker hoses).
  • Strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix mechanical and low-voltage electrical components.
  • Ability to dig trenches, lift heavy equipment, and work outdoors in varying weather while following safety standards.
  • Solid understanding of general lawn care, soil types, and plant watering requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively within a crew.
  • Prior experience in commercial or high-end residential landscape maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Install and service irrigation systems of various types to ensure peak performance.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely for trenching, pipe-fitting, wiring, and repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, faulty heads, backflow, or pressure issues.
  • Perform timely repairs and preventative maintenance to avoid water waste.
  • Troubleshoot valves, timers, smart controllers, and sensors.
  • Collaborate with landscape crews to integrate irrigation plans into overall care routines.
  • Advise clients on watering schedules, seasonal adjustments, and water conservation.

Role and Mission

We have partnered with TotalPML in Sanford, FL, and are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in landscape maintenance and a deep practical understanding of irrigation systems. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing water delivery systems to ensure optimal efficiency and health for our clients' gardens and landscapes. You will work directly with clients to assess site needs and collaborate closely with our broader landscape team to deliver high-quality, sustainable water management solutions.

Duties

  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively for all trenching, pipe-fitting, wiring, and repair tasks.
  • Collaborate with landscape crews to integrate efficient irrigation plans into overall garden and lawn care routines
  • Advise clients on best practices for landscape watering schedules, seasonal system adjustments, and water conservation
