Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to service residential and commercial clients in Phoenix. You will oversee scheduled visits, assess irrigation needs, and provide recommendations.

The role involves field work such as trenching, installing lines, maintaining timers, and upgrading components, while upholding safety and quality standards. Strong English/Spanish communication and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5+ years of irrigation experience and water management.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in landscaping or related field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform client site visits and review irrigation needs with recommendations.
• Monitor and diagnose irrigation issues and communicate upgrades to clients.
• Field work: trenching, digging, maintain/set/install clock/timer, install lines.
• Ensure safe and proper use of tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs and submit post-visit summaries via HubSpot or similar.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Moon Valley Nurseries.
• Coordinate with Tree Care leadership to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Support training and safety compliance within the maintenance crew.

Job SummaryMoon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to work as a techninician to provide exceptional services to our residential and commercial clients. This role is responsible for overseeing scheduled visits, upselling with additional service offerings, and ensuring that every property is maintained to Moon Valley’s standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.The ideal candidate has a strong background in irrigation, plant identification and overall basic understanding of tree and plant care.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPeform client site visits, review the irrigation needs and develop the needed recommendations.Monitor and diagnose irrigation issues, including communicating the recommended upgrades to clients.Perform field work including trenching, digging, maintain/set/install clock/timer, installing irrigation lines, upgrading various irrigation parts throughout the property.Ensure safe and proper use of all tools, vehicles, and equipment.Maintain accurate daily logs and submit professional post-visit summaries through HubSpot or similar platforms.Provide exceptional customer service, representing the Moon Valley brand with professionalism and integrity.Coordinate with Tree Care leadership to ensure maintenance schedules and quality standards are met.Support training and safety compliance within the maintenance crew.Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMinimum 3-5+ years of experience and understanding of irrigation systems, irrigation clocks and water management along with experience in landscaping, or related field work.Strong communication and customer service skills.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.Comfortable using digital tools such as HubSpot, mobile apps, or similar platforms.Must pass MVP, DOT, QAL, and drug screening requirements.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent experiencePhysical requirements/Working ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
