Job summary

Sanctuary Medicinals is seeking an Irrigation Technician to support daily operation, maintenance, and performance of irrigation and water room systems across the facility. You will work closely with the Irrigation Manager to ensure equipment and water systems run efficiently to support cultivation operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor water room operations including daily testing and documentation.

• Frame weekend coverage and serve as the on-site Irrigation Department representative when on shift.

Irrigation Technician

Position Summary

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Rotation: Every other weekend required

The Irrigation Technician is responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance,
and performance of all irrigation and water room systems throughout the facility. Working
closely with the Irrigation Manager and leadership team, this role ensures irrigation
equipment, water systems, and related infrastructure operate efficiently to support
cultivation operations.
This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a
commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Weekend
coverage is an essential part of the role, with technicians serving as the primary Irrigation
Department personnel on-site during weekend shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Water Room Operations

• Perform daily water sample testing, including pH and EC measurements.
• Record, maintain, and communicate daily water testing results.
• Complete morning and end-of-day (EOD) duty checklists.
• Perform multiple water room inspections throughout each shift.
• Prepare pH Up and pH Down stock tanks for the Anderson skid.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of water room activities.
• Complete and submit End-of-Day Walkthrough Checklists.
• Submit pH/EC readings at the beginning and end of each shift.

Equipment Maintenance & Cleaning

• Assist with routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of water room systems.
• Perform cleaning procedures including tank scrubbing, ozone loop cleaning, and related sanitation tasks.
• Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the water room.
• Assist with floor scrubbing and facility sanitation.
• Support flower room water room cleaning procedures during the flower cycle

Irrigation System Maintenance

• Scout irrigation events throughout flower rooms to ensure proper operation.
• Assist with irrigation line cleaning in flower rooms.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs including:
• o Building and repairing irrigation whips
• o Tray repairs
• o Irrigation and drainage repairs
• o Basic PVC and PEX plumbing repairs
• Assist with ongoing irrigation system improvements, facility upgrades, and special projects as assigned.

Weekend Responsibilities

• Work scheduled weekend shifts as assigned through the department's Weekend Off schedule.
• Complete all assigned weekend tasks in addition to regular daily responsibilities.
• Independently monitor irrigation and water room systems while serving as the primary Irrigation Department representative on-site.
• Promptly communicate any equipment issues, system failures, or operational concerns to the Water Room Manager.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work on all three tiers of flower rooms using aerial lifts.
• Ability to perform work in both light and dark grow room environments.
• Ability to work in high heat and high-humidity conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and Tyvek suits.
• Ability to safely handle and work with approved chemicals in accordance with company safety procedures.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.

Work Environment

This position is performed in cultivation and water room environments requiring adherence to strict sanitation, safety, and operational procedures. Employees should be comfortable working around water treatment systems, irrigation equipment, cultivation infrastructure, cleaning chemicals, and environmental conditions typical of indoor agricultural facilities.
