TPC Las Vegas is a par-71, 7,104-yard golf course open to the public in Las Vegas, NV. The Irrigation Technician III role involves operating the irrigation system, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, efficient course maintenance operation.

Pay range is $18.50–$20.00 per hour, with shifts as needed. This is a field-based, active position requiring physical effort and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Six months experience as an Irrigation Technician II or at least two years of experience in a similar position.
• Ability to operate golf course irrigation systems and golf course machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties relative to the Irrigation Technician I and II positions.
• Maintain logs for operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each machine.
• Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
• Clean machinery after each use.
• Inspect equipment and report deficiencies to the Equipment Manager.
• Follow the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each task.
• Perform irrigation system repairs and tasks as trained, including central control programming and basic electrical work.
• Communicate via two-way radio.
• Follow safety PPE guidelines.
• Assist with special projects as directed.

The Irrigation Technician III is specially trained to operate specialized equipment and/or to perform specific tasks relative to the maintenance of the golf course irrigation system.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Must have six months experience as an Irrigation Technician II or at least two years of experience in similar position
• Must have the ability to operate golf course irrigation systems and golf course machinery

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Perform all duties and/or tasks relative to the Irrigation Technician I and II positions
• Maintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each machine
• Perform daily tasks necessary to keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and a safe working environment
• Clean machinery after each use
• Inspect all equipment and report any deficiencies to the Equipment Manager
• Perform other functions and routine irrigation systems repairs as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent I, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II or Irrigation Foreman
• Be thoroughly trained in proper procedures required to perform each task before performing such tasks. Follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task
• Perform specific task relative to Irrigation Technician I, II, and III training, including:
• Advanced pipe repair
• Thorough product knowledge of all parts and irrigation inventory used on the golf course
• Basic electrical repair knowledge
• Perform basic pump station repairs and maintenance
• Thorough knowledge of central irrigation control programming
• Basic irrigation system design and lay-out knowledge
• Basic drainage, design, and installation knowledge, and locate pipes and wires with location instruments
• Communicate on regular basis via a two-way radio system
• Required to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards
• Special projects or other duties as assigned

Pay Range- $18.50- $20.00 per hour

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 50 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
