Job summary

Mariani Enterprises, LLC is seeking an Irrigation Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial watering systems. You will perform seasonal maintenance, repair damaged components, program controllers, and ensure efficient water use while delivering dependable service to clients.

Qualifications

• Backflow certification and state-specific licensing required or highly preferred.
• 2–3+ years hands-on irrigation troubleshooting, assembly, and plumbing experience.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical wiring, and controller troubleshooting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• System maintenance: spring start-ups, mid-season audits, troubleshooting, and winterization blow-outs to prevent freeze damage.
• Troubleshooting & repair: diagnose hydraulic and electrical issues, locate buried lines, repair/replace sprinkler heads, valves, and pipes.
• Water management: program and adjust irrigation controllers for maximum water efficiency and to prevent runoff.
• Customer service: communicate repair needs, recommend system upgrades, and complete service paperwork.

Role Overview

An Irrigation Service Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs watering systems for residential and commercial client properties. Responsibilities include performing seasonal maintenance, repairing damaged pipes or electrical valves, adjusting sprinkler heads, and programming controllers to ensure optimal water distribution and plant health.

Key Responsibilities

• System Maintenance – Perform spring start‑ups, mid‑season audits, troubleshooting, diagnosing and winterization blow‑outs to prevent freeze damage.
• Troubleshooting & Repair – Diagnose hydraulic and electrical issues, locate buried lines, and repair or replace broken sprinkler heads, valves, and pipes.
• Water Management – Program and adjust computerized irrigation controllers to maximize water efficiency and prevent overwatering or runoff.
• Customer Service – Communicate repair needs, recommend system upgrades to clients, and complete necessary service request paperwork.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification – A backflow certification and state‑specific licensing (required or highly preferred).
• Experience – 2 to 3+ years of hands‑on experience in irrigation troubleshooting, assembly, and plumbing.
• Physical & Environmental Demands – Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Technical Skills – Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical wiring, and controller troubleshooting.
• Valid Driver’s License – Required to operate company vehicles between job sites.

Position Range: $25 - $35 per hour
