We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and irrigation systems, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing faulty components to ensure optimal water distribution for primarily center pivot irrigation systems.

Duties

• Repair and maintain irrigation systems using hand tools and power tools.
• Troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Dig trenches for the installation of irrigation pipelines, wire, and components.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure proper irrigation practices are followed.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Provide recommendations for improvements in irrigation efficiency and crop health.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, system modifications, labor, and inventory used on projects and repairs.

Experience

• Previous experience in agricultural irrigation is preferred, but applicants with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing backgrounds will be considered.
