POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Irrigation Technician at Innisbrook Resort plays a crucial role in maintaining the lush landscapes that enhance the guest experience. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems throughout the resort grounds.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The technician will ensure that all areas are adequately watered, promoting healthy plant growth and sustainability. By monitoring water usage and system efficiency, the technician contributes to the resort's environmental initiatives. The goal is to create a visually appealing and well-maintained outdoor environment that aligns with the resort's high standards of hospitality and recreation.

1. Install and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip lines, and pumps.
2. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
3. Monitor weather conditions and adjust irrigation schedules accordingly to optimize water usage.
4. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any significant repairs needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance.
• Basic understanding of horticulture and landscape management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in irrigation technology or landscape management.
• Experience working in a hospitality or resort environment.
• Knowledge of local water regulations and conservation practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computational and computer skills.
• Technical proficiency in irrigation system installation & maintenance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form to address problems involving multiple variables.
• Most work tasks are performed indoors with controlled temperature.
