Job summary

Schill Grounds Management in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Irrigation Technician to service and maintain commercial and residential irrigation systems. You will evaluate, repair pipes, valves, and wiring, and must communicate with customers while upholding our trust, service, integrity, and satisfaction standards.

You will troubleshoot irrigation issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support our team with a professional, safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Repair all aspects of an underground irrigation system and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation issues, including wiring, leaks, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude on-site and with clients.
• Follow company policies and procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Weekly field work with local travel as needed.

As anIrrigation Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining commercial and residential irrigation systems. This requires a working knowledge of evaluating and repairing the pipe, valves, & wiring associated with the irrigation system. You must be able to communicate with customers and have a great attitude to maintain our trust, service, integrity, & customer service satisfaction. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s purpose and demonstrate our core values.

As an Irrigation Technician you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

• 1. Repair all aspects of an underground irrigation system
• 3. Troubleshoot and repair any irrigation issues, including wiring, leaks, and general maintenance
• 5. Must maintain a professional appearance & attitude
• 6. Follow all company policies and procedures.
• 7. Perform any other duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

As an Irrigation Technician, you will need to have the following job skills and personal characteristics:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Driver’s License, and be insurable by company policy.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in using computers and learning new software quickly.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test and be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.

WORK CONDITIONS

Employees in this position should be able and willing to drive or travel locally as needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold, or heat.
