Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co. busca un Técnico de riego para unirse al equipo de Mantenimiento en la región DC/Maryland, trabajando desde la sucursal Forestville, MD.

Se realizarán inspecciones y mantenimiento de sistemas de riego en propiedades comerciales, con enfoque en seguridad y eficiencia operativa. Se valora experiencia en instalación y reparación de riego, habilidades de diagnóstico, y capacidad para gestionar inventario y reportes diarios.

Qualifications

• Experiencia mínima de 1 año en mantenimiento e instalación de riego en entornos comerciales o residenciales, o experiencia similar en fontanería, HVAC o campos mecánicos.
• Conocimiento básico de planos y diagramas de construcción.
• Poseer certificaciones de riego, preferible.
• Experiencia en servicio, reparación y solución de fallos de sistemas de riego comerciales/residenciales, preferible.
• Conocimiento de controladores de riego, temporizadores y sensores, preferible.
• Capacidad para interactuar y comunicarse con clientes.
• Familiaridad con smartphones y operaciones básicas de ordenador.
• Habilidades de comunicación escrita, verbal y personal.
• Debe tener licencia de conducir válida y buen historial.
• Puedo pasar un examen médico DOT para obtener el certificado DOT.

Responsibilities

• Realizar inspecciones de riego de forma rutinaria para propiedades comerciales designadas.
• Identificar y resolver problemas de los sistemas de riego mediante diagnóstico.
• Resolver problemas en el sitio aplicando procesos de eliminación.
• Reemplazar o reparar componentes como tuberías, cabezales, válvulas o programadores.
• Dar recomendaciones de mejoras ajustadas a las necesidades del cliente.
• Gestionar el inventario de riego y mantener herramientas y materiales organizados.
• Promover y seguir protocolos de seguridad para un entorno de trabajo seguro.
• Mantener los vehículos de la empresa en buen estado para reflejar la imagen profesional.
• Gestionar adecuadamente las horas de trabajo asignadas.
• Participar en la formación interna y educación continua.
• Completar informes diarios de trabajo, presupuestos y tarjetas de tiempo.

Ruppert Landscape is a privately held commercial landscape maintenance and construction company based in Laytonsville, MD. We are hiring for an Irrigation Technician to join our DC/Maryland Maintenance team. The position will report out of our Forestville, MD branch.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine irrigation inspections for designated commercial properties
• Identify and resolve issues with irrigation systems through troubleshooting and diagnosis
• Ability to problem solve while on site though process of elimination
• Replace or repair components, such as pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, or timers
• Provide recommendations for upgrades tailored to clients’ needs and objectives
• Manage irrigation inventory, ensuring that all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are fully stocked and systematically organized for maximum job efficiency
• Promote and adhere to safety protocols by ensuring a safe working environment
• Maintain company vehicles in a safe condition to reflect company's professional image
• Effectively manage job hours for assigned tasks
• Actively participate with in-house training and continued education
• Complete daily reports for work completed to include property reports, estimates and timecards daily

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience performing irrigation maintenance and installation in a commercial or residential environment, or similar experience in plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical fields
• Basic knowledge of construction plans and diagrams
• Possess irrigation certification(s), preferred
• Experience with servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial/residential irrigation systems, preferred
• Knowledge of irrigation controllers, timers and sensors, preferred
• Ability to effectively interact and communicate with clients
• Familiarity with smart phones and basic computer operations
• Strong written, verbal and personal communication skills
• Must have a valid driving license, with a clean record, no major violation in the last 3 to 5 years
• Much have or be able to pass a DOT physical to obtain a DOT medical card
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand, squat, reach for long periods and lift minimum 50lbsas needed
