Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates metal detectors to locate metal or objects in the ground.
• Operates equipment such as a trencher or bobcat; sets up or operates a backhoe.
• Digs trenches and lays pipe for irrigation systems using manual tools.
• Reads profiles and blueprints for irrigation layouts.
• Repairs or replaces irrigation system parts and adjusts sprinklers.
• Records data on forms or logs related to work performed.
• Sprays insecticides or chemicals as needed.
• Measures with tapes, transits, and levels.
• Orders and issues supplies and parts.
