Placements24 is seeking an experienced Irrigation Systems Specialist to join our client in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design, install, and optimize irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, pivot) for diverse crops, ensuring water efficiency and reliable operation in a water-scarce region.

The role requires a strong hydraulics background, knowledge of irrigation components, and the ability to work with farmers and farm managers.

Qualificações

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Horticulture, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing, installing, and maintaining agricultural irrigation systems.
• In-depth knowledge of irrigation components, hydraulics, pumps, and control systems.
• Proficiency with irrigation design software and CAD is advantageous.
• Understanding of agronomic principles and crop water requirements.

Responsabilidades

About the Role

This role is critical for designing, installing, maintaining, and optimizing irrigation systems for various agricultural operations in a water-scarce region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in hydraulics, irrigation technology, water management, and agronomic principles related to water use efficiency.
