Job summary

Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services is seeking an Irrigation Superintendent to oversee Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge and Saint Simeon Cemetery in Aurora. You will manage wells, pumps, ditches, pipelines and water-use reporting to improve efficiency and ensure compliant irrigation operations.

The role requires 5–7 years of related experience with some lead responsibilities and a Colorado driver’s license; preferred Bachelor’s degree and irrigation certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and shop drawings.
• Must have valid Colorado Driver’s License.
• At least 5-7 years of related experience with 2-3 years of lead or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm for Mount Olivet and Saint Simeon locations.
• Create labor and material estimates for repairs and order equipment and supplies.
• Manage and maintain ditch laterals, pipelines, reservoirs, wells, water use and pump houses.
• Develop reports on water usage to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with neighbors, regulatory agencies, engineers, contractors and others.
• Read blueprints and prepare permits based on project scope and specs.
• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on sprinkler systems and controllers; install low voltage wiring.
• Respond to emergency requests during and after work hours.
