Florida Commercial Care, Inc. is seeking an Irrigation Manager who will lead crews, manage budgets, and coordinate irrigation services for diverse commercial clients.

The role includes hiring, training, scheduling, and direct client interaction to ensure high-quality, cost-effective projects. The manager will work closely with the Director of Irrigation on estimates, design input, and client meetings, with in-field responsibilities and sales support as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in customer service, management, and leadership within landscape industry or local market.
• Ability to operate within a specific budget.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent daily customer service and responsiveness to client inquiries.
• Able to travel to two branches (70% in-field)
• Driver’s license with 3–5 year driving history; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Direct and schedule personnel and resources to deliver quality irrigation services.
• Oversee materials, crew, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure quality work.
• Inspect properties pre-service to prepare action plans.
• Monitor irrigation systems post-installation and address issues.
• Provide hands-on support to crews to meet scheduling demands.
• Coordinate staffing with HR and develop daily crew schedules.
• Oversee irrigation technicians across multiple profit centers and conduct performance reviews.
• Complete paperwork for hires and changes; mentor and develop team members.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain records (time sheets, service schedules).
• Assist Director of Irrigation with sales tasks as needed.

Job description

The Irrigation Manager schedules and directs personnel and resources towards providing quality, cost-effective irrigation services to clients. The Irrigation Manager also support the Director of Irrigation in estimating, design and client meetings as needed. The Irrigation Manager will also sell irrigation services to clients, with or without base maintenance contracts, on their own. The Irrigation Manager will oversee a commercial landscape portfolio and multiple service teams. The Irrigation Manager will be responsible for training and developing these individuals and providing day-to-day operational scheduling and guidance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understanding client needs via regular communication with the Director of Irrigation
• Managing all irrigation services, including the coordination of all materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors required to produce quality work
• Inspecting properties prior to scheduled service to properly prepare specific action plan for service
• After installation and services, monitoring all aspects of the irrigation system and identify any problems
• As necessary, performing hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands
• Working with the Human Resources department to identify staffing needs, hire new crew, and prepare daily crew schedules
• Overseeing Irrigation Technicians in several profit centers
• Reviewing and delivering annual performance reviews to direct reports
• Ensuring proper paperwork is completed for all employee changes and new hires
• Communicating with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plan for employees
• Hands-on training and support of crew members, including proper operation of equipment, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards
• Focusing on safety and monitor safety records
• Maintaining and managing all required administrative systems, including but not limited to time sheets, job databases, and service schedules
• Ordering materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries
• Requesting inventory replenishment and use in accordance with company guidelines
• Assisting the Director of Irrigation in the performance of irrigation sales tasks as require

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3 years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience within an organization, the landscaping industry or local marketplace, including 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate within a specific budget
• Able to pay close attention to detail and have organizational skills
• Great customer service when dealing with clients daily
• Able to respond thoroughly and quickly to all client complaints, concerns, and requests

• Ability to travel to two branches = 70% of the time (in field)

• Certifications and licenses needed to perform work in local market
• A valid Driver’s license with 3 to 5-year history of good driving
• Authorized to work in the United States
