Job summary

Aims Community College seeks a dedicated grounds and irrigation technician to maintain 100 acres of irrigated landscape on the Greeley campus and support campus grounds operations across six campuses. Responsibilities include monitoring, repairing, and upgrading irrigation systems, maintaining turf, trees, and landscapes, and coordinating with campus facilities.

The role requires an associate's degree in landscape-related field and at least three years of related experience, plus safety

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or better in landscape-related field.
• Three years of relevant irrigation/grounds experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Safety certifications for forklift and skid loader (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Ability to read plans and sketches and operate tractors and landscape equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and use hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Fully manage campus irrigation systems, including scheduling and controller operation.
• Maintain and repair turf, trees, shrubs, and landscape features across multiple sites.
• Perform seasonal maintenance including drainage, winterization, and startup of lines.
