Job summary

The Irrigation Technician at Gabriel Group is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation and landscape lighting systems, ensuring efficient operation and water conservation on customer sites.

You will perform audits, diagnose issues, schedule preventive maintenance, manage inventory, and communicate with the Operations Manager to coordinate service delivery and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3+ years irrigation experience.
• Basic computer and mobile skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Certifications in Landscape Maintenance or Irrigation preferred.
• Experience with irrigation controllers (Hunter, Rain Bird) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, and troubleshoots irrigation systems.
• Installs and maintains landscape lighting systems.
• Performs irrigation audits and site evaluations to assess performance and water usage.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and repairs leaks, pressure problems, and electrical faults.
• Performs preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend system life.
• Monitors and adjusts irrigation schedules based on weather and plant needs.
• Completes field reports and documents service activities; communicates with Operations Manager.
