Landscaping by J. Michael is growing and seeking a skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. You’ll install irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties, handle seasonal start-ups and winterizations, and troubleshoot existing systems.

You’ll read plans, operate equipment, and keep job sites organized while maintaining accurate paperwork. A valid driver’s license and DOT card are required; a CIT certification is a bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years hands-on irrigation experience.
• Able to read and interpret irrigation plans and technical drawings.
• Comfortable reading plans, site layouts, and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT card; CDL not required.

Responsibilities

• Install irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
• Handle seasonal tasks such as spring start‑ups and fall winterizations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair existing irrigation systems.
• Maintain and repair components (sprinkler heads, valves, pumps, lines, panels).
• Read irrigation plans and layouts to guide work.
• Set up job sites, order materials, and keep projects on track.
• Complete paperwork and job reports accurately.
• Operate equipment (trenchers, rollers, trucks, tampers) daily.
